Background
Harald is a qualified counsellor with a Bachelor of Counselling (2017) from the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) and Diploma of Counselling (2012) from the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors (AIPC).
Currently undertaking Master of Art Therapy at La Trobe University, Harald is a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and practices in accordance to the PACFA code of ethics.
As well as working in private practice, Harald assumes several other roles, which encompass mental health program worker at an Adult Prevention and Recovery Centre (APARC) and individual and family services support worker for a mental health and disability organisation. In addition, Harald facilitates mindfulness, meditation, and therapeutic groups both within the community and organisational context.
Harald has a varied history of practical experience and knowledge, including over four years working in mental health and several years in hospital and rehabilitation settings. As a mindfulness practitioner for more than 20 years, Harald incorporates this experience into multi-modal therapy practice working with individual adults in relation to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, coping strategies, daily living skills and social integration skills surrounding mental health.
